Company Donation Supports Land Trust Of The Treasure Valley
Idaho Power is proud to support the Land Trust Of The Treasure Valley (LTTV) and one of their key fundraisers, the Les Bois Film Festival. Founded in 1996, LTTV works with private landowners, developers, government agencies and citizens to protect open spaces in the greater Boise area. Customer and Community Outreach Consultant Dave Thornton and Education and Outreach Energy Advisor Russ Weedon recently delivered our contribution to LTTV Development and Communications Director Kimberly Cox.
Idaho Power Gives a Helping Hand to Life's Kitchen in Boise
Idaho Power is a proud supporter of Life's Kitchen, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides at-risk young people with work and life skills through education and on-the-job training in the food service industry. Through workforce development, life skills training and a GED program, trainees receive the resources they need to become successful — fulfilling Life's Kitchen's mission of "Serving Second Chances." Idaho Power Energy Advisor Ron Krahn recently stopped by Life Kitchen's restaurant and headquarters in Boise, delivering a company donation of $2,000 to Executive Director Tammy Johnson and continuing our company's tradition of lending a hand at Life's Kitchen.

"Idaho Power's generous donation will help us meet the high demand for our program during this unprecedented time," Johnson said. "We appreciate Idaho Power's commitment to the youth of our community."
Idaho Power Named Business of the Year by Ontario Chamber
Idaho Power was recently honored as the 2021 Business of the Year by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in eastern Oregon. Economic and Community Development Energy Advisor Mike Ybarguen was on hand to accept the award from Cathy Yasuda, Chief Development Officer for Treasure Valley Community College. Idaho Power proudly serves our rural communities, and we are honored to receive this award in recognition of providing the Ontario business community with reliable, affordable, clean energy.

The Current: Our 20-year Plan

Idaho Power Logo
Idaho Power's long-range plan focuses on reliable, affordable, clean energy.
We recently submitted our latest long-term energy plan, which details how we will serve our customers over the next 20 years. The plan accelerates our move away from coal-fired energy while looking to transmission, renewable energy, battery storage and energy efficiency to continue providing you with reliable, affordable, clean electricity. Under the plan, the company will phase out our remaining interest in coal-fired power plants by the end of 2028, two years earlier than previously projected. The plan is being reviewed by state public utility commissions.

We are excited to be making progress toward our goal of providing 100% clean energy by 2045!
